Your files stay yours.

Where your files live

Everything you make or open is kept in your browser's own storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no server that holds a copy.

The other side of that: there is no copy anywhere else. If you clear this site's data in your browser, your files go with it. Download the ones you need from One Files, a file at a time or a folder as a ZIP. In Settings you can ask the browser to protect the storage so it is not cleared to save space. Backup and restore is being built.

What is never collected

There are no analytics, no tracking and no ads. There is no account to make and nothing to sign in to.

What is downloaded, and when

The app itself is downloaded when you install it. After that, every app works with no connection. A few parts are fetched the first time you use them, so the install stays small: the DOCX, XLSX and PPTX converters, text recognition, and rarely used code languages. They are parts of the app and carry nothing of yours.

One Scan reads text in a picture only after you agree to download the language data.

One Fax

One Fax runs on a clearly labelled demo service until a fax service is connected. Nothing is sent. When a real service is added, this page will say which one and what it receives.
