Straight answers.
What Ashtadeep One does today, what it does not do yet, and where it stands.
Can I use Ashtadeep One now?
Not yet. Ashtadeep One is in development and there is nothing to download. The first fourteen apps work and are tested; six more are being built.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and no account. Your files stay on your device.
What will it cost?
That is not decided. Nothing is for sale yet.
Which devices does it run on?
Ashtadeep One is an app you install from your browser. So far it is tested in Chromium-based browsers on a computer. Other browsers, phones and tablets will be named here once they are tested. Desktop and mobile apps are planned.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. Once installed, every app opens and makes its own documents with no connection. A few parts are fetched the first time you use them: the DOCX, XLSX and PPTX converters, text recognition, and rarely used code languages.
Where are my files kept?
In your browser's own storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded. Because there is no copy anywhere else, clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them: download the ones you need from One Files. Backup and restore is being built.
Can it open my DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files?
One Write opens and saves DOCX, and One Sheet opens and saves XLSX. One Slides exports PPTX; opening PPTX files is not built yet. A DOCX file keeps its text, styles, lists, tables, pictures and page setup, and One Write says what it left out.
Does One Fax send real faxes?
Not yet. It runs on a clearly labelled demo service until a fax service is connected, so nothing is sent.
Can I sign a PDF?
Yes, with a drawn, typed or uploaded signature. It is a picture of your signature, not a certificate-based digital signature.
Is there a dark mode?
Yes. It follows your device, or you can choose light or dark in Settings.
Who makes it?
Ashtadeep, an independent software studio. Ashtadeep One is a working name.
